6th March Hedge Row Planting

It's 9:30 on a Sunday morning and Matt has a band of us bleary eyed volunteers at his beck 'n' call - 6 of us to be exact.  Matt unloads his truck and shows us a pile of saplings that need planting today.

There are various species and as Matt points them out I make a mental note of each one (in italics):

Hawthorn (thin, brown & looks like a twig)

Hazel (thin, brown & looks like a twig)

Dogwood
(thin, brown & looks like a twig)
  Blackthorn
(thin, brown & looks like a twig)

Field Maple (thin, brown & looks like a twig)

Guelder Rose (thin, brown & looks like a twig)

And so to work...
